Most cab drivers in Bangalore know the on-demand routine: log in, wait for a request, drive to a pickup you didn't choose, and start again. Fixed-route office driving works differently. You drive the same route, for the same riders, at the same times every working day.

If you're a driver thinking about a steadier way to work, this guide explains how fixed-route driving works, how it compares with on-demand apps, and what you need to get started.

How fixed-route office driving works

  1. Your route is planned in advance. Riders who live along one corridor and work in the same office hub are grouped into a route.
  2. You know your pickups before you start. The same pickup points, in the same order, every weekday.
  3. Morning and evening trips are scheduled. Office drops in the morning and return trips in the evening, at fixed times.
  4. Your riders are verified professionals. The same small group, not strangers matched minutes before the trip.

How it compares with on-demand driving

On-demand ride-hailing Fixed-route office driving
Trips Assigned one by one Planned route every weekday
Waiting between trips Common Minimal — trips are scheduled
Passengers Different every trip Same verified group
Schedule Unpredictable Fixed morning and evening timings
Earnings Change day to day Built on regular, repeat trips

Fewer empty kilometres

On-demand driving often means driving without a passenger — to reach the next pickup or to find a busy area. A planned route keeps that to a minimum.

A predictable day

Fixed timings mean you can plan the rest of your day — family time, rest, or other work — around a schedule you know in advance.

Familiar passengers

Driving the same riders every day builds trust on both sides. You know who you're picking up, and they know you.

What you need to become a driver partner

Requirements vary by service. For Flow, we look for:

  • A valid driving licence (a commercial badge is preferred)
  • At least one year of driving experience in Bangalore
  • A smartphone with WhatsApp
  • Willingness to complete police verification
  • Your own car is a plus — but it isn't required

How to join Flow as a driver partner

  1. Fill in the driver sign-up form — it takes about two minutes on our Drive with Flow page.
  2. We call you to talk through routes, timings and earnings.
  3. Verify and start — complete your documents and verification, then begin your route.

Questions drivers often ask

Do I need my own car?

No. If you have your own car, tell us its model and permit status on the form. If you don't, choose "I need a car to drive" and we'll discuss options.

Which shifts are available?

Routes run around office hours — morning pickups and evening drops. You can tell us your preferred shift when you sign up.

Which areas will I drive in?

Flow is launching on major Bangalore office corridors such as the Outer Ring Road, Whitefield, Electronic City and Manyata Tech Park. Tell us where you live and we'll look for routes near you.

A steadier way to drive

Fixed-route driving won't suit everyone — if you prefer to choose your own hours minute by minute, on-demand apps give you that. But if you want a predictable schedule, familiar passengers and steady, repeat work, it's worth a look.
